Alfredo Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Tulhas's goal looked a bit too open when Bruninho da Mata came free, but Alfredo Favoretto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Leonardo Bertassi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Martirio AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Tulhas getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Richard Mazza hit a great ball. Tulhas's Alfredo Favoretto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Tulhas from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the game, Flávio da Silveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alfredo Favoretto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfredo Favoretto made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Christian Viana sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the match, Leonardo Bertassi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfredo Favoretto, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Viana got free with Alfredo Favoretto in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Inácio Machado made the kick off in the second half. The tension between the Tulhas and the Martirio AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Martirio AD booed when Tulhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Bertassi in the 72nd minute of the match. The Martirio AD fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Martirio AD's Leonardo Bertassi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 88 minutes into the match, Bruninho da Mata had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Favoretto. Tulhas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruninho da Mata was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The supporters of Tulhas booed when Martirio AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Luís Guilherme Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tulhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Guilherme Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martirio AD's Ian Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Martirio AD from getting a goal against them. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Martirio AD fully deserved thier win.
