The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. André Pirani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Maranhense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. After having played for 11 minutes, Christian Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martirio AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonardo Bertassi might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murilo Abreu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Bertassi ran back to his position shaking his head. Bruninho da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murilo Abreu having to interfere. Aleandro Dantas hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruninho da Mata in the 20th minute of play forced Correntezas EC's goalkeeper Murilo Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Correntezas EC's zone, Leonardo Bertassi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murilo Abreu came out of the goal and Leonardo Bertassi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Martirio AD booed when Correntezas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aleandro Dantas hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Martirio AD's Bruninho da Mata got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Correntezas EC's zone, Bruninho da Mata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murilo Abreu came out of the goal and Bruninho da Mata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Leonardo Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Correntezas EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Martirio AD were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bruninho da Mata made a kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Leonardo Bertassi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Correntezas EC's Murilo Abreu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Christian Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elói Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Correntezas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleandro Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Ian Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Pirani in the 65th minute of the match. Murilo Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruninho da Mata in the 68th minute. Leonardo Bertassi might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murilo Abreu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Bertassi ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Martirio AD's Leonardo Bertassi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Murilo Abreu. That made the score 0-2 after 76 minutes of play. A hard shot 83 in the game by Bruninho da Mata from a close distance when the talented Murilo Abreu managed to make a qualified save. Correntezas EC's players were relieved. When Martirio AD's Christian Viana in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Correntezas EC's goalie prevented a goal. Murilo Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Bertassi in the 90th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Correntezas EC's goalkeeper Murilo Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Viana. When the final whistle sounded Martirio AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Correntezas EC.
