Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Waldemar Pontes made the kick off and thus started the match. Sílvio Luís Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro de Andrade having to interfere. 6 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ermidinha's Waldemar Pontes fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Waldemar Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Capelinha's Ramiro de Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Capelinha from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Pontes in the 13th minute of play forced Capelinha's goalkeeper Ramiro de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 played minutes Capelinha got a freekick which was hit by Hílton Paraense. Ramiro de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waldemar Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Betinho Donatello came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Ermidinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betinho Donatello couldn't finish the play. Capelinha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Waldemar Pontes scored to the left of an out of position Ramiro de Andrade, making the score, 1-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Capelinha fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! Luiz Eduardo Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Hortêncio Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capelinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hortêncio Velloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 played minutes Ermidinha got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Alvarenga. The supporters of Ermidinha booed when Capelinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldemar Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro de Andrade having to interfere.

Waldemar Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute, Betinho Donatello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ermidinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Betinho Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ermidinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Betinho Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro de Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramiro de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Donatello in the 64th minute of play. 5-0 became the score in the 66th minute when Betinho Donatello elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Capelinha getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Guilherme Trancoso hit a great ball. Guga Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Capelinha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ermidinha:s goal. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Ermidinha. Váldson Mattos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ramiro de Andrade. 6-0. 87 minutes into the match, Ermidinha's Betinho Donatello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramiro de Andrade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Betinho Donatello scored 8-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramiro de Andrade, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Ermidinha players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
