The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Alexandre Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Capixaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moquem's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilvan Severo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Capixaba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Luiz Palmeira charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Luiz Palmeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes Madugas Fc got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Palmeira. In the 21st minute Wesley Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gilvan Severo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Moquem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilvan Severo couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Vivaldo Silveira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 29th minute of the match, Pedro Luiz Palmeira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vivaldo Silveira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Moquem getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Nildo Diniz hit a great ball. Gerson Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilvan Severo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléberson Massa in the 58th minute of play forced Moquem's goalkeeper Vivaldo Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Wesley Albuquerque sped through Moquem's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vivaldo Silveira. 61 minutes into the game, Madugas Fc's Wesley Albuquerque nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vivaldo Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 65 minutes of play, Madugas Fc's Kléberson Massa made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vivaldo Silveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nando Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Kléberson Massa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Madugas Fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 73rd minute, Cléberson Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th match minute, Moquem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico Romero to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the game, Kiko Mattos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moquem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Madugas Fc the free kick. Kiko Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Kléberson Massa made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gerson Mendes however managed to control. A hard shot by Gilvan Severo from long distance, 89 minutes into the match, got Cristiano Capixaba's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Vivaldo Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléberson Travassos in the 90th minute of play. Cristiano Capixaba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Albuquerque in the 97th minute of play forced Moquem's goalkeeper Vivaldo Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Madugas Fc players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
