The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. David Fonseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Mello went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.

In the 55th match minute, Japyra EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. Pedrinho Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Jorginho Rosado made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Japyra EC's zone, Pedrinho Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Rosado came out of the goal and Pedrinho Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute of the match Serafim Brasil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Fonseca skillfully saved the ball. When Marcelo Mello came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Japyra EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Mello couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Japyra EC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Leopoldo Meira hit a great ball. In the 73rdth minute of the game Emanuel Machado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Japyra EC's Jorginho Rosado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorginho Rosado stood somewhat misplaced when Pedrinho Barreto came free in front of goal and shot 4-3 to the left of him in the 75 minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kauan Arósio during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jorginho Rosado made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Pedrinho Barreto sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute Marcelo Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pedrinho Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Relvado SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedrinho Barreto couldn't finish the play. David Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Mello in the 94th minute of the match. After 96 minutes, Ismael Figueiredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Relvado SC and the Japyra EC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
