Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Délio do Vale made the kick off which started today's match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Délio do Vale in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luan Vergílio saved Aguacu EC from getting behind. 8 minutes into the game, Gláuber Arruda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merlin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aguacu EC the free kick. After 8 played minutes Merlin got a freekick which was hit by Gláuber Arruda. João Pedro do Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th match minute, Merlin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Délio do Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Merlin fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Merlin's Luiz Fabiano Domingues looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vítor Marquez's late challenge caught a Aguacu EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vítor Marquez helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Merlin got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Marquez. Amílton Antunes struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Patrick Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aguacu EC. Patrick Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ediberto Barreto in the 24th minute of the match. Alfredo Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Patrick Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ediberto Barreto made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Merlin's goalkeeper Patrick Urbano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ediberto Barreto. Luiz Fabiano Domingues might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luan Vergílio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Fabiano Domingues ran back to his position shaking his head. If Patrick Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ediberto Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Urbano having to interfere. Patrick Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Aguacu EC's Amílton Antunes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Patrick Urbano. That made the score 5-1 after 92 minutes of play. Merlin walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
