After a rather tough play, Alexandria's Adrianinho Gonçalves got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When FLAMENGO's Amauri Machado in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alexandria's goalie prevented a goal. 34 minutes into the match, Rony Netto notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Alexandria's Robinho do Vale. Robinho do Vale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 37 minutes into the match, Alexandria's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Netto came free, but Robinho do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robinho do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Robinho do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Netto in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Wesley Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FLAMENGO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 45th match minute, FLAMENGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wesley Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. After the first half FLAMENGO were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wesley Carvalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Rony Netto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Robinho do Vale came out and tried to block the shot, but Rony Netto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wesley Carvalho got free with Robinho do Vale in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robinho do Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wesley Carvalho in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute Amauri Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rony Netto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-6 in the 67th playminute. Rony Netto took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robinho do Vale. Robinho do Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. 75 minutes into the match, Rony Netto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Robinho do Vale, 1-8. In the 78th minute, FLAMENGO's Wesley Carvalho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-9. Robinho do Vale was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wesley Carvalho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-10 in the 83 minute of play. Robinho do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Netto in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute Rony Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rony Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Rony Netto took a quick shot and it went in 1-11 without a chance for Robinho do Vale to make any attempt to save it. FLAMENGO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
