Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Evandro Barral made the kick off which started today's match. 2 minutes into the match, Luiz Fabiano Domingues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elder Camargo. Angico AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Fabiano Domingues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Luiz Fabiano Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Merlin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Domingues couldn't finish the play. When Délio do Vale came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Merlin fans jumped to their feet. Elder Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fabiano Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Washington Jacinto fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Angico AD's protests and gave Washington Jacinto a yellow card for diving instead. Washington Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Patrick Urbano didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 19th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Elder Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The Merlin fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Merlin's Luiz Fabiano Domingues looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luiz Fabiano Domingues took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elder Camargo. Elder Camargo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Pedro Lira hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. If Luiz Fabiano Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Délio do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merlin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Délio do Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano Domingues in the 33rd minute of play forced Angico AD's goalkeeper Elder Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fabiano Domingues took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elder Camargo. Elder Camargo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Vítor Marquez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elder Camargo having to make a save. When Merlin's Luiz Fabiano Domingues in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Angico AD's goalie prevented a goal. Merlin's Patrick Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Fabiano Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Elder Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

In the 52nd minute Natã Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elder Camargo made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Luiz Fabiano Domingues sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 55 minutes, Patrick Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merlin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Natã Carneiro during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Angico AD's goalie and right to Osvaldinho Batista. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Angico AD's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Patrick Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elder Camargo came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Merlin's Osvaldinho Batista. But to his dismay, Osvaldinho Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. 75 minutes into the game, Patrick Queiroz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merlin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Angico AD the free kick. After 75 played minutes Merlin got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Queiroz. Natã Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Patrick Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Angico AD. Elder Camargo made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Délio do Vale sent off a good shot on target. Délio do Vale succeeded in the game's 79th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-8. Patrick Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Barral in the 85th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Merlin left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Angico AD.
