The Carnaubeir EC fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Carnaubeir EC's Bavo Landewijck looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 17 minutes, Chico Munhoz made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Nights Club's Eduardo Pitta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Guillerme Batuecas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 36 minutes of play, Carnaubeir EC's Chico Munhoz made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Pitta was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th minute, Federico Anzolin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carnaubeir EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. If Eugênio Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46thth minute of the game Bavo Landewijck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nights Club's Eduardo Pitta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugênio Paranaense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Carnaubeir EC's Bavo Landewijck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eduardo Pitta. Eduardo Pitta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Guillerme Batuecas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Nunes in the 59th minute of play. With splendid footwork Bavo Landewijck arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-7 by the left pole in the game's 63rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celso Loureiro during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eduardo Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bavo Landewijck in the 67th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Washington Dias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guillerme Batuecas. Carnaubeir EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Washington Dias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. Thiago de Carvalho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eduardo Pitta. Nights Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Nights Club getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Washington Dias hit a great ball. Guillerme Batuecas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Bavo Landewijck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carnaubeir EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bavo Landewijck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Pitta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillerme Batuecas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugênio Paranaense in the 85th minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, Carnaubeir EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vânderson Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Jano Fantini didn't quite understand what happened when in the 92 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet.
