After some careless play in the Carnaubeir EC defense, Rômulo Gonçalves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Brodel. The Carnaubeir EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Brodel should have stopped the shot. In the 7th minute, Silvério Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Brodel. Carnaubeir EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Gilson da Fonseca was a little too slow when Chico Munhoz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-2. When Rômulo Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Perdizrodrigues fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rômulo Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the match, Carnaubeir EC's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Gonçalves came free, but Marcelo Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilson da Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Luizão de Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. After 19 played minutes Carnaubeir EC got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Albuquerque. Marcelo Brodel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Luiz Peixoto went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Gilson da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizão de Carvalho in the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to Carnaubeir EC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Vânderson Albuquerque hit a great ball. Marcelo Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rômulo Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Gonçalves in the 35th minute of play forced Carnaubeir EC's goalkeeper Marcelo Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Peixoto in the 36th minute of play. Marcelo Brodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilian Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carnaubeir EC's Marcelo Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Neto in the 42nd minute of play. Marcelo Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Peixoto in the 44th minute of play. Inácio Antunes lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Carnaubeir EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chico Munhoz to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chico Munhoz during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Carnaubeir EC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Chico Munhoz hit a great ball. Pedro Luiz Peixoto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Marcelo Brodel made a huge save. If Douglas Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 63 minutes, Pedro Luiz Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perdizrodrigues's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luiz Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Carnaubeir EC booed when Perdizrodrigues was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cássio Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 75 played minutes Perdizrodrigues got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Marquez. 77 minutes into the match, Wilian Novaes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Brodel. Carnaubeir EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilian Novaes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Dedê Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dedê Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luiz Paulo de Alcântara hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, Luiz Paulo de Alcântara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelo Brodel, 1-7. 94 minutes into the match, Pedro Luiz Peixoto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Brodel. Carnaubeir EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Luiz Peixoto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-8. Perdizrodrigues's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
