Spectators: 7568 (Terracing: 5677, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guto Duarte kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute Rodrigo de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Brooklin's Moisés Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Nils-Erik Dalberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Brooklin's Gilmar Nogueira was substituted for Moisés Ramos. A collision led to NEWCASTLE getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Valdomiro Nunes hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, Gilmar Nogueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Brooklin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 40 minutes, Nils-Erik Dalberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Brooklin and the NEWCASTLE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes Atlético Brooklin got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Erik Dalberg. Guto Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmyr da Silva having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo de Brito was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Atlético Brooklin's Guto Duarte got a free kick in the 58th minute. Atlético Brooklin's Raúl Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro Nunes in the 59th minute of play. If Gilmar Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúl Leme made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Rodrigo de Brito sent off a good shot on target. Raúl Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro Almeida in the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th match minute, Atlético Brooklin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Erik Dalberg to maneuver through the defense. Guto Duarte scored 3-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walmyr da Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Atlético Brooklin's Gonzalo Sorondo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Atlético Brooklin's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
