Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fiori Matos kicked off to start the match. Acácio Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, FERRÃO's Almir Neves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tostão Mendes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of FERRÃO booed when Rive was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tostão Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Rossi in the 19th minute of play forced Rive's goalkeeper Tostão Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the game, FERRÃO's Vicente Rossi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tostão Mendes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Bernardo Ramalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olívio Negri in the 27th minute. Tostão Mendes came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by FERRÃO's Vicente Rossi. But to his dismay, Vicente Rossi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 33 played minutes FERRÃO got a freekick which was hit by Almir Neves. Olívio Negri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Ramalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rive's goalkeeper Tostão Mendes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Acácio Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Bernardo Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olívio Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, José Augusto de Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tostão Mendes. Rive's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Augusto de Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olívio Negri was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Fiori Matos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FERRÃO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Rive's Tostão Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Rive from getting a goal against them. Tostão Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Rossi's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Luiz Fabiano Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Douglas Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Bernardo Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-5 became the score in the 79th minute when Vicente Rossi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tostão Mendes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vicente Rossi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 83 minute of play. Douglas Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FERRÃO's Bernardo Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olívio Negri in the 96th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Dino Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FERRÃO supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FERRÃO would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
