If Olívio Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olívio Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Claudinei Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Acácio Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tostão Mendes having to interfere. Claudinei Pimenta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olívio Negri in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betão Vargas got free with Tostão Mendes in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claudinei Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Palmeira in the 33rd minute of the match. If Dito Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 38th minute, Caco Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rive's Dito Palmeira got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olívio Negri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Baile de Monique F.C™'s goalkeeper Claudinei Pimenta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglas Capixaba. The supporters of Rive booed when Baile de Monique F.C™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Pimenta made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Douglas Capixaba sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Rive's Edmílson Peixoto got a free kick in the 59th minute. When Caco Neto came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Rive fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caco Neto couldn't finish the play. Dito Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Pimenta having to interfere. Douglas Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Douglas Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dito Palmeira struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Claudinei Pimenta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rive. 88 minutes into the match, Baile de Monique F.C™'s goal looked a bit too open when Dito Palmeira came free, but Claudinei Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baile de Monique F.C™'s Claudinei Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Neto in the 89th minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Caco Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rive's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caco Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tostão Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Baile de Monique F.C™ succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Rive had controlled the match.
