The FERRÃO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Ramalho should have stopped the shot. In the 26th play minute Fiori Matos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jacinto Azeredo. 1-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fiori Matos was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, FERRÃO's Bernardo Ramalho got control of the ball when Eduardo Rodrigues tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fiori Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geraldo Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Jacinto Azeredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Rossi in the 68th minute of the match. Eduardo Rodrigues received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bernardo Ramalho came out and tried to block the shot, but Eduardo Rodrigues slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 69th minute. Jacinto Azeredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Rossi in the 72nd minute of play. Jorginho Xavier hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Combate Fire's Walmyr Martins got a free kick in the 91st minute. Combate Fire succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FERRÃO had controlled the match.
