Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5633, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Olívio Negri got the match started through his kick off. When Natã Messias came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Rive fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natã Messias couldn't finish the play. Caco Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Egídio da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Shi Ke Zhi struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Tostão Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lencois. If Olívio Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tostão Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shi Ke Zhi, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Olívio Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 24 played minutes Rive got a freekick which was hit by Natã Messias. Shi Ke Zhi scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tostão Mendes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Lencois's zone, Douglas Capixaba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Cardoso came out of the goal and Douglas Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caco Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lencois's Shi Ke Zhi in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rive's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Olívio Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rive's supporters rose to their feet, but Olívio Negri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. William Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olívio Negri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but William Cardoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The supporters of Lencois booed when Rive was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Lencois getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Conrado Couto hit a great ball. In the 55th minute of the match Dito Palmeira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but William Cardoso skillfully saved the ball. Dito Palmeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over William Cardoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dito Palmeira ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th match minute, Rive was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natã Messias to maneuver through the defense. Dito Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Cardoso made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Olívio Negri sent off a good shot on target. Egídio da Cunha hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Olívio Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Cardoso having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Olívio Negri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Cardoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Lencois's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dito Palmeira 93 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Rive played a much better game than Lencois and deserved their victory. The Lencois players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
