Spectators: 7229 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Acácio Lopes took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Baile de Monique F.C™ booed when Star Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anderson Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Vargas in the 4th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renato Rocha during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermínio Sanches in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinei Pimenta saved Baile de Monique F.C™ from getting behind. If Cláudio Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Borges succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 15th playminute. The audience was convinced that Betão Vargas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anderson Peixoto was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Star Sports's Anderson Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Vargas in the 20th minute of play. If Richard Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Star Sports's Sidney Vides in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Baile de Monique F.C™'s goalie prevented a goal. Hermínio Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Pimenta having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Sidney Vides might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinei Pimenta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sidney Vides ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sidney Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 minutes, Eliseu Paiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baile de Monique F.C™ and the Star Sports players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Baile de Monique F.C™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu Paiva to maneuver through the defense. Hermínio Sanches spun around in front of the goal 57 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Baile de Monique F.C™'s goal. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Baile de Monique F.C™'s goalkeeper Claudinei Pimenta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Richard Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Pimenta having to interfere. When Cláudio Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Star Sports fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio Brodel couldn't finish the play. In the 67th match minute, Baile de Monique F.C™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. Sidney Vides charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidney Vides the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sidney Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Richard Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Baile de Monique F.C™ getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Valdir Schmidt hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Betão Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baile de Monique F.C™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Betão Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anderson Peixoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Borges struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Claudinei Pimenta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Star Sports. Claudinei Pimenta came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Star Sports's Richard Borges. But to his dismay, Richard Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 88th minute Sidney Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Star Sports's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Lopes came free, but Anderson Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Star Sports getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Cláudio Brodel hit a great ball. Claudinei Pimenta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Claudinei Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermínio Sanches in the 94th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Star Sports's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Paiva came free, but Anderson Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Star Sports players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
