The referee ignored Cães Vadios MZ's protests and gave Roger de Souza a yellow card for diving instead. Roger de Souza hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When Horácio Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Santo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horácio Cruz couldn't finish the play. The Cães Vadios MZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Santo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
