Spectators: 7189 (Terracing: 5689, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Elano de Almeida started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Samuca Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Correia having to interfere. Ernesto Fernandez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Evandro Correia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Fernandez to make the kick off. Santo fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Guarapari do Esp. Santo's Ernesto Fernandez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
