Dé Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urtsin Verges in the 19th minute of the match. The tension between the NOVORIZONTINO and the Santo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Santo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NOVORIZONTINO the free kick. NOVORIZONTINO's Dé Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urtsin Verges in the 70th minute of play. Luisinho Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisinho Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of NOVORIZONTINO booed when Santo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guto Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lino dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NOVORIZONTINO's protests and gave Lino dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Santo booed when NOVORIZONTINO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Urtsin Verges came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Santo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urtsin Verges couldn't finish the play. Rui da Silva hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Santo were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
