The supporters of Buriche booed when Club Atlético Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Eduardo Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored Club Atlético Minas's protests and gave Edmílson Leal a yellow card for diving instead. Edmílson Leal hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Buriche's Magno Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Magno Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 minutes of play Club Atlético Minas's Edmílson Leal was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Magno Rocha was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 98th minute. Buriche's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Buriche were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
