Egídio Travassos came out of the goal and Rodrigo Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Túlio Munhoz hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gilson Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Club Atlético Minas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilson Travassos couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Lopes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Egídio Travassos made a huge save. Club Atlético Minas's Egídio Travassos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Minas from getting a goal against them. Rodrigo Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Lopes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Egídio Travassos made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Egídio Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Jonathan Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Lopes in the 55th minute of play forced Club Atlético Minas's goalkeeper Egídio Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Minas's zone, Jonathan Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Travassos came out of the goal and Jonathan Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Egídio Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Rodrigo Teles made a precise shot to the right of Egídio Travassos. Club Atlético Minas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 67 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Lopes came free, but Egídio Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Rodrigo Teles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inema fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Célio Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of Inema booed when Club Atlético Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilson Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Fred do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Queirós in the 92nd minute of play forced Inema's goalkeeper Fred do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Lopes in the 95th minute of play forced Club Atlético Minas's goalkeeper Egídio Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Inema fully deserved thier win.
