NewGate FC's Nilmar de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Sá in the 12th minute of play. Mauro Figueiredo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. A collision led to Villa Juniores F.C. getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Nando Veloso hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Furlan in the 17th minute of play forced Villa Juniores F.C.'s goalkeeper Rômulo Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 played minutes NewGate FC got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Tande. Nilmar Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilmar de Almeida having to interfere. Rômulo Tavares came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by NewGate FC's Charles Santos. But to his dismay, Charles Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 32ndth minute of the game José Maria Pitta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Juniores F.C.'s Rômulo Tavares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rômulo Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of NewGate FC booed when Villa Juniores F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eduardo Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilmar de Almeida having to interfere.

The wind increased when José Maria Pitta made the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 52 in the game by José Maria Pitta from a close distance when the talented Rômulo Tavares managed to make a qualified save. Villa Juniores F.C.'s players were relieved. In the 54th match minute, Villa Juniores F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilmar Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. Charles Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Rômulo Tavares made a huge save. Villa Juniores F.C.'s Osvaldo Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 59 minutes of play, Villa Juniores F.C.'s Osvaldo Sá made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilmar de Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nilmar Ferreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nilmar de Almeida having to make a save. The supporters of Villa Juniores F.C. booed when NewGate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Villa Juniores F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Benê Furlan came free, but Rômulo Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, NewGate FC's Mauro Figueiredo got a free kick in the 76th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Eduardo Paulista during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Villa Juniores F.C. getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Paulista hit a great ball. Charles Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Rômulo Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Villa Juniores F.C.'s goalkeeper Rômulo Tavares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Maria Pitta. After having played for 91 minutes, Benê Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NewGate FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benê Furlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nilmar de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Villa Juniores F.C. manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing NewGate FC to win.
