The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dadá Fernandes in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Renan Hoffmann, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Benjamin Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. VAXCO 777's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renan Hoffmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernandão Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. When Samuca Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buriche's protests and gave Samuca Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, VAXCO 777's Renan Hoffmann threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dadá Fernandes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of VAXCO 777 booed when Buriche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Dadá Fernandes sped through Buriche's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Renan Hoffmann. If Magno Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 36 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo Maia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Renan Hoffmann. Zé Paulo Maia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. The supporters of VAXCO 777 booed when Buriche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, VAXCO 777's Ernani Linhares got a free kick in the 44th minute. Betão Mendonça took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Faustão de Alcântara. VAXCO 777's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Magno Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Magno Rocha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Zé Paulo Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When VAXCO 777's Dadá Fernandes in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buriche's goalie prevented a goal. Serginho Velloso's late challenge caught a VAXCO 777's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serginho Velloso helped the player get up and apologised. During the 60th minute of the match Samuca Meireles completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Samuca Meireles a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 60 played minutes Buriche got a freekick which was hit by Samuca Meireles. After 61 played minutes VAXCO 777 got a freekick which was hit by Zé Paulo Maia. In the 65thth minute of the game Dadá Fernandes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buriche's Renan Hoffmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Dadá Fernandes put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Renan Hoffmann. Magno Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão de Alcântara having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Buriche's Chiquinho Sá sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Faustão de Alcântara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Renan Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Maia in the 80th minute of play. In the 86th minute Dadá Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Magno Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amauri Braga struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Renan Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VAXCO 777. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dadá Fernandes in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renan Hoffmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Magno Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Buriche players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for VAXCO 777.
