Fabiano Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jorginho Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Paulo da Rocha struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Carlos Nóbrega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uberaba. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Raphael Travassos sped through Caresalzinho SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Nóbrega. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Fabiano Eger made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão de Senna in the 55th minute of play. When Celsinho Chaves fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caresalzinho SS's protests and gave Celsinho Chaves a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Uberaba booed when Caresalzinho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 played minutes Uberaba got a freekick which was hit by José Carlos Torres. A hard shot by Filipe de Senna from long distance, 60 minutes into the match, got Jorginho Bertassi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Glauco Cosme fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 63rd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Carlos Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 72 minutes, Faustão de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uberaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faustão de Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 76 minutes on the clock, Amauri Garcia commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 76 minutes into the game, one of Caresalzinho SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Uberaba a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Raphael Travassos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Caresalzinho SS's Carlos Nóbrega. 6-0. Caresalzinho SS's Carlos Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrézinho de Sousa in the 81st minute of play. Carlos Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustão de Senna in the 84th minute of the match. If Luís Paulo da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lucas Sena scored 7-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Nóbrega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Alberto Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faustão de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carlos Nóbrega didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raphael Travassos went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Uberaba walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
