Heliópolis FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Luisinho Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano Bueno in the 14th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Heliópolis FC got a freekick which was hit by Valdo de Lara. In the 18th minute, Natanael Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisinho Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Vaz in the 21st minute of the match. Diamantino Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Luisinho Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinei Dantas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuca Velloso in the 25th minute. Anselmo Ceresso charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Ceresso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of BotaFire FR booed when Heliópolis FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlinhos Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Laércio Maciel in the 48th minute really tested Claudinei Dantas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.

The wind increased when Enrique Vaz made the kick off in the second half. Christiano Bueno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Luisinho Urbano made a huge save. Natanael Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Urbano having to interfere. BotaFire FR's Luisinho Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natanael Vargas in the 55th minute of play. Enrique Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Urbano having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in BotaFire FR's zone, Régis Sergipano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisinho Urbano came out of the goal and Régis Sergipano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christiano Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Heliópolis FC's Enrique Vaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisinho Urbano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Natanael Vargas struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Luisinho Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heliópolis FC. Heliópolis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Vaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisinho Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in BotaFire FR's zone, Natanael Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisinho Urbano came out of the goal and Natanael Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Natanael Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Enrique Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Natanael Vargas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luisinho Urbano came out and tried to block the shot, but Natanael Vargas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 75th minute. Claudinei Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomás Hoffmann in the 97th minute of the match. Heliópolis FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
