After 4 minutes, Samuca Velloso made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Caresalzinho SS's Carlos Nóbrega tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 8 minutes, Fabiano Eger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caresalzinho SS and the BotaFire FR players grew even worse after the yellow card. Samuca Velloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Carlos Nóbrega made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseu Vergílio during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Caresalzinho SS's Eliseu Vergílio got a free kick in the 12th minute. Fabiano Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Urbano having to interfere. In the 21st minute of the match Caresalzinho SS got a corner. BotaFire FR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luciano Branco ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 22nd match minute, BotaFire FR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomás Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. Fabiano Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Luisinho Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Glauco Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Eriberto Cosme could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Carlos Nóbrega however easily saved by the left post. After 35 played minutes BotaFire FR got a freekick which was hit by Laércio Maciel. After a defensive mix-up in BotaFire FR's zone, Fabiano Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisinho Urbano came out of the goal and Fabiano Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Ernesto Loyola left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caresalzinho SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Ceresso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Caresalzinho SS defense, Samuca Velloso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Nóbrega. The Caresalzinho SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Nóbrega should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Caresalzinho SS's Eliseu Vergílio got a free kick in the 54th minute. Carlos Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. With a little luck, BotaFire FR's Luisinho Urbano got control of the ball when Fabiano Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Nóbrega came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by BotaFire FR's Anselmo Ceresso. But to his dismay, Anselmo Ceresso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 66thth minute of the game Samuca Velloso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caresalzinho SS's Carlos Nóbrega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Samuca Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Velloso in the 72nd minute of play. BotaFire FR's Luisinho Urbano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save BotaFire FR from getting a goal against them. If Ernesto Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Thomás Hoffmann fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BotaFire FR's protests and gave Thomás Hoffmann a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, BotaFire FR's Thomás Hoffmann got a free kick in the 80th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Fabiano Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caresalzinho SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisinho Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabiano Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caresalzinho SS's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because BotaFire FR had won, even though Caresalzinho SS had held more of the ball.
