Hudson Félix came out of the goal and Luciano Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the match, Ernesto Loyola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hudson Félix. Trinca Ferro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernesto Loyola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Mário Maciel came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Caresalzinho SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Maciel couldn't finish the play. Trinca Ferro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Fabiano Eger scored to the left of an out of position Hudson Félix, making the score, 2-0. The Caresalzinho SS players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
