Luisinho Queirós came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Fúria Futebol Clube's Frank Campidelis. But to his dismay, Frank Campidelis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luisinho Queirós came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Fúria Futebol Clube's Luís Gustavo Carvalho. But to his dismay, Luís Gustavo Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Luís Gustavo Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fúria Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Gustavo Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisinho Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Campidelis in the 23rd minute of play forced Luzeiro's goalkeeper Luisinho Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Frank Campidelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisinho Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, José Pedro Pereira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luzeiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fúria Futebol Clube the free kick. After 26 played minutes Luzeiro got a freekick which was hit by José Pedro Pereira. Luisinho Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Fúria Futebol Clube's Alberto Soares got a free kick in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho Hermes in the 41st minute of play forced Fúria Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Júlio Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júnior Ramalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Júlio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Luzeiro were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Fúria Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Afonsinho Garcia took the corner. Luzeiro's Afonsinho Garcia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Júlio Porto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Luzeiro's zone, Luís Gustavo Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisinho Queirós came out of the goal and Luís Gustavo Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Campidelis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Luisinho Queirós when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luzeiro's Luisinho Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Luzeiro from getting a goal against them. In the 64th minute Sílvio Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisinho Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Fúria Futebol Clube's Luís Gustavo Carvalho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Frank Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute Luís Gustavo Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisinho Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Luzeiro defense, Frank Campidelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisinho Queirós. The Luzeiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisinho Queirós should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the game, Luzeiro's Flavinho Hermes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio Porto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Luisinho Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Gustavo Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Frank Campidelis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Fúria Futebol Clube booed when Luzeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th match minute, Luzeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Neves to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by José Pedro Pereira in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Fúria Futebol Clube's Valdir de Senna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Fernandes in the 90th minute of play forced Luzeiro's goalkeeper Luisinho Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Luzeiro booed when Fúria Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fúria Futebol Clube eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
