Paulo de Almeida came out of the goal and Dida Paraense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Breno Vieira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo de Almeida was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Paulo de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Júnior Motta charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Régis Ramalho got in the 35th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Paulo de Almeida handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The S.F. fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when S.F.'s Breno Vieira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dida Paraense made a kick off. The supporters of S.F. booed when Urtigueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Breno Vieira put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Paulo de Almeida. In the 58th minute, Dida Paraense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.F. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 61 minutes into the game, Dida Paraense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulo de Almeida. Dida Paraense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Breno Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
