Jerônimo Toscano started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute Edson Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rayane Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agnaldo Quirino during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Agnaldo Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Figueirense FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Edgar de Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrézinho Lago. Edson Maranhense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rayane Rodrigues having to make a save. A collision led to Clube Atlético Tubarão getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Cesinha de Carvalho hit a great ball. Clube Atlético Tubarão's Rayane Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Maranhense in the 20th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Clube Atlético Tubarão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesinha de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. If Edson Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elder de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rayane Rodrigues having to interfere. When Figueirense FC - FSCMZ's Edson Maranhense in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clube Atlético Tubarão's goalie prevented a goal. Rayane Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Maranhense in the 46th minute of play. Elder de Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edson Maranhense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Clube Atlético Tubarão defense, Elder de Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rayane Rodrigues. The Clube Atlético Tubarão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rayane Rodrigues should have stopped the shot. Figueirense FC - FSCMZ's Edson Maranhense got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elder de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74thth minute of the game Edson Maranhense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube Atlético Tubarão's Rayane Rodrigues was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th minute, Agostinho Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute Edson Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rayane Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Fernandes's late challenge caught a Figueirense FC - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquim Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Tubarão's Joaquim Fernandes got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Elder de Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Rayane Rodrigues made a huge save. If Elder de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Elder de Azevedo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Clube Atlético Tubarão's Rayane Rodrigues. Rayane Rodrigues was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Clube Atlético Tubarão fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Figueirense FC - FSCMZ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
