That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Albertinho Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soneca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albertinho Ramalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Niculae Marioteanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerônimo Velasco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Soneca FC's Jerônimo Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Galbarruri in the 20th minute of play. Dorian Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ignacio Llinares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Custódio hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The wind increased when Albertinho Ramalho made the kick off in the second half. In the 71st minute Dieguinho da Rocha suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Sydney da Mata charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sydney da Mata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sydney da Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Soneca FC's Jerônimo Velasco got control of the ball when Niculae Marioteanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alvaro Galbarruri might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerônimo Velasco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvaro Galbarruri ran back to his position shaking his head. Jerônimo Velasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Vander in the 79th minute. Wilton Moura's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jerônimo Velasco firmly grabbed it by the left post. It was beautiful to see GUARULHOS FC's Alvaro Galbarruri in action when he in the 99th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! GUARULHOS FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
