An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Teles in the 3rd minute of play forced Carinhatas F.C's goalkeeper Douglas Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 4 played minutes ♫ A Kind of Magic ♫ got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Marques. 6 minutes into the match, Jorginho Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge do Vale. ♫ A Kind of Magic ♫'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorginho Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Jorginho Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Araújo in the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, ♫ A Kind of Magic ♫'s Osvaldinho Tinoco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Osvaldinho Tinoco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ♫ A Kind of Magic ♫ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Osvaldinho Tinoco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 11 minutes into the game, one of ♫ A Kind of Magic ♫:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Carinhatas F.C a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jarbas Coutinho, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ♫ A Kind of Magic ♫'s Jorge do Vale. 0-2. Jorge do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Araújo in the 27th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Horácio Marques could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Douglas Motta however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Carinhatas F.C's zone, Horácio Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Motta came out of the goal and Horácio Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Davi Goiano took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge do Vale. Jorge do Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Jorge do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Valle in the 41st minute of play. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carinhatas F.C! When the match had been going on for 48 minutes, ♫ A Kind of Magic ♫'s Telmo Melo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Douglas Motta.

The wind increased when Denílson Araújo made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denílson Araújo got free with Jorge do Vale in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Carinhatas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Melo came free, but Douglas Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denílson Araújo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Jorge do Vale made a huge save. After 61 minutes of play, Carinhatas F.C's Denílson Araújo made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Carinhatas F.C defense, André Luiz Favoretto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Douglas Motta. The Carinhatas F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Douglas Motta should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, ♫ A Kind of Magic ♫'s Jorge do Vale got control of the ball when Denílson Araújo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Carinhatas F.C's Denílson Araújo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorge do Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. In the 77th minute, Gualter Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Valle in the 78th minute of play. Douglas Motta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Jorge do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
