Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Teodoro Lemos made the kick off and thus started the match. After 5 minutes, Cleiton Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canoeiros and the Red Bull Sumaré players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Canoeiros's Cleiton Nunes got a free kick in the 5th minute. The audience was convinced that Teodoro Lemos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arlindo Travassos was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. 12 minutes into the match, Canoeiros's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Lemos came free, but Arlindo Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir Pereira in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Red Bull Sumaré's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Pereira came free, but Bernardo Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidro Serafo charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Red Bull Sumaré's Bernardo Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Red Bull Sumaré from getting a goal against them. Canoeiros's Arlindo Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Lemos in the 40th minute of play. Bernardo Magalhães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cleiton Nunes in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Teodoro Lemos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arlindo Travassos. Canoeiros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodoro Lemos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldir Pereira made a kick off. Teodoro Lemos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Arlindo Travassos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marcinho Santana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arlindo Travassos came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcinho Santana slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 56th minute. Isidro Serafo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arlindo Travassos stood somewhat misplaced when Teodoro Lemos came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 61 minute. Bernardo Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleiton Nunes in the 65th minute of play. Cleiton Nunes scored 1-3 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardo Magalhães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute Isidro Serafo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cleiton Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Teodoro Lemos struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Arlindo Travassos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Bull Sumaré. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráusio Guerra in the 76th minute of play forced Red Bull Sumaré's goalkeeper Bernardo Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Gregory was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Red Bull Sumaré:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Canoeiros:s goal. Cleiton Nunes placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! A collision led to Red Bull Sumaré getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Teodoro Lemos hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Red Bull Sumaré's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Pereira came free, but Bernardo Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Red Bull Sumaré walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
