Bernardinho Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Maria Teles was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Renan Mineiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 32 minute of play. A collision led to Quandus getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ramiro Paulista hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quandus's zone, Jean Rossi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Maria Teles came out of the goal and Jean Rossi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Quandus's goal looked a bit too open when Renan Mineiro came free, but José Maria Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

After a rather tough play, Taucucúga's Joélson Nóbrega got a free kick in the 51st minute. José Maria Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joélson Nóbrega in the 54th minute of play. Taucucúga's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
