Spectators: 7569 (Terracing: 5678, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fabinho Messias took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Messias in the 5th minute of play forced E.C. Itajaí's goalkeeper João Augusto Custódio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute of the match, Fabinho Messias got a very nice opportunity to score, but João Augusto Custódio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Anderson Matorin charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anderson Matorin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anderson Matorin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The supporters of Macario booed when E.C. Itajaí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Dorian de Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E.C. Itajaí's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macario the free kick. 17 minutes into the match, Macario's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredinho Brodel came free, but José Vítor Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 17 played minutes Macario got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Linares. Tiaguinho Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of Macario booed when E.C. Itajaí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Macario's Benjamim Linares got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, one of E.C. Itajaí:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for E.C. Itajaí. José Vítor Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anderson Matorin to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfredinho Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Arce having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Fabinho Messias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Augusto Custódio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 60th minute, Jarbas Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in E.C. Itajaí fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Benjamim Linares took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Augusto Custódio. João Augusto Custódio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. João Augusto Custódio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamim Linares in the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Alfredinho Brodel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The E.C. Itajaí fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a rather tough play, E.C. Itajaí's Tiaguinho Pereira got a free kick in the 88th minute. João Augusto Custódio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamim Linares in the 98th minute of the match.
