The supporters of Quandus booed when Macario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabinho Messias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jânio Berger made in the 25th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which William de Sousa however managed to control. When Fabinho Messias came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Macario fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabinho Messias couldn't finish the play. Quandus's attentive Ramiro Paulista managed to snatch the ball when Délio Amaral made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cacá Paraibano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Vítor Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacá Paraibano in the 52nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aleks Krieser during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Macario's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
