The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Macario:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Red Bull Sumaré:s goal. When the match had been going on for 4 minutes, Red Bull Sumaré's Marcinho Santana got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of José Vítor Arce. Fabinho Messias struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Bernardo Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macario. Fabinho Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Marcinho Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabinho Messias in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Macario's Fabinho Messias in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Red Bull Sumaré's goalie prevented a goal. Bernardo Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabinho Messias's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. José Vítor Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Lemos in the 37th minute of the match. Bernardo Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabinho Messias in the 39th minute of play. The Macario fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Macario's Fabinho Messias looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Basílio do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodoro Lemos during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teodoro Lemos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, Macario's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Correia came free, but José Vítor Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Macario getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Brite Perth hit a great ball. Teodoro Lemos scored 2-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Vítor Arce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 81 minutes into the game, Pedro Augusto Magalhães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macario's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Bull Sumaré the free kick. Jacobo Gregory hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Benjamim Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macario's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamim Linares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardo Magalhães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabinho Messias in the 89th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Fabinho Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabinho Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
