With an extended leg and a bit of luck César Braga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute, Anderson Matorin made a precise shot to the right of César Braga. Bacururu EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Bacururu EC's Romário Lira got a free kick in the 18th minute. Anderson Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. César Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Bacururu EC's Toninho Paraíba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Augusto Custódio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 31 minutes into the match, Anderson Matorin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of César Braga. Bacururu EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anderson Matorin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Anderson Matorin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without César Braga having to make a save. In the 37th match minute, E.C. Itajaí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian de Souza to maneuver through the defense. After 41 played minutes Bacururu EC got a freekick which was hit by Romário Lira. If Anderson Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Anderson Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the E.C. Itajaí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson Matorin couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 47 in the game by Anderson Matorin from a close distance when the talented César Braga managed to make a qualified save. Bacururu EC's players were relieved.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anderson Matorin to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes E.C. Itajaí got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Matorin. César Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. César Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Matorin in the 57th minute of the match. Jean Vasconcelos lost his temper 62 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Naldo Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto Custódio having to interfere. César Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Jarbas Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Alfredinho Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. César Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that E.C. Itajaí were the better team. E.C. Itajaí's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
