Michel Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Naldo Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Motta having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Josué Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Maia's Baltazar Santana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Maria Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Roberto Botelho during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José Maria Azevedo had great luck who in the 43rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Josué Amaral from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 54thth minute of the game Josué Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Muricizinho's José Maria Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Maia's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Dias came free, but Emanuel Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josué Amaral in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Maria Azevedo saved Muricizinho from getting behind. In the 59th minute of the match, Naldo Soares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emanuel Motta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Maia's Josué Amaral in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Muricizinho's goalie prevented a goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Motta made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Isaltino Melo sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute, Renan Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Válbson Meira during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th minute, Michel Soares reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emanuel Motta. The goal made the score 4-1. With a little luck, Maia's Emanuel Motta got control of the ball when Michel Soares tried to sneak it across the goal line.
