Jhon Rabelo started the match with the kick off. Cássio da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Luiz Fernando Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jhon Rabelo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Délio das Neves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Boot FC's Luiz Fábio de Moraes suffered a concussion after 12 minutes and had to leave the field. After a rather tough play, U18 Cruzeiro's Dé Melo got a free kick in the 13th minute. Luiz Fernando Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Marinho in the 18th minute of the match. A collision led to U18 Cruzeiro getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Henrique Torres hit a great ball. If Tomás Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boot FC's Délio das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robinho Guerra in the 28th minute of play. U18 Cruzeiro were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Boot FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sílvio Abraão took the corner. Robinho Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Boot FC booed when U18 Cruzeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute of the match João Francisco Fantini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Fernando Souza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Boot FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jhon Rabelo came free, but Délio das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute of the match, Robinho Guerra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Délio das Neves saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomás Vergílio to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomás Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Boot FC's zone, Jhon Rabelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Délio das Neves came out of the goal and Jhon Rabelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Délio das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jhon Rabelo in the 61st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jhon Rabelo in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Délio das Neves saved Boot FC from getting behind. Jhon Rabelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jhon Rabelo in the 81st minute of play forced Boot FC's goalkeeper Délio das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Délio das Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jhon Rabelo's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 91st match minute, U18 Cruzeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Sanches to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the game, U18 Cruzeiro's Jhon Rabelo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Délio das Neves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Boot FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because U18 Cruzeiro had won, even though Boot FC had held more of the ball.
