When Abismo SC's Romeu de Queiroz in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arabela's goalie prevented a goal. In the 38th minute, Romeu de Queiroz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cipriano Catarinense was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If André Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 played minutes Arabela got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Loureiro. Sydney de Moraes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cipriano Catarinense. Arabela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Nóbrega to strike the kick off in the second half. Luiz Guilherme Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Belmiro Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Abismo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeu de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Luiz Guilherme Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arabela's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Guilherme Diniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Belmiro Peres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Luiz Guilherme Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 81st minute, Elano de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Abismo SC's Alexandre Valadares got a free kick in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Abismo SC's zone, Luiz Guilherme Diniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belmiro Peres came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme Diniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belmiro Peres having to interfere. The Abismo SC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Arabela from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
