Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jorge Nóbrega started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Abismo SC got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Pinheiro. When Boot FC's Cássio da Silveira in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abismo SC's goalie prevented a goal. Belmiro Peres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Vergílio's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Romeu de Queirozs short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Délio das Neves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 11 minutes into the match, Boot FC's Tomás Vergílio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Belmiro Peres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 14 played minutes Boot FC got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco Fantini. Tomás Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belmiro Peres having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Boot FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernani Madureira to maneuver through the defense. Belmiro Peres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Vergílio's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Jorge Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jorge Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a defensive mix-up in Abismo SC's zone, Tomás Vergílio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belmiro Peres came out of the goal and Tomás Vergílio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cléberson Oliveira during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Abismo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléberson Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. Belmiro Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Boot FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. André Gerber hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Enrique Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Sydney de Moraes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Boot FC's Délio das Neves didn't even have to move. In the 78th minute, Cléberson Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Tomás Vergílio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Délio das Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrique Marinho during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Boot FC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Marinho. The supporters of Boot FC booed when Abismo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Romeu de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boot FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Abismo SC had controlled the match.
