Spectators: 7359 (Terracing: 5664, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 95) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 6th match minute, Calderao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Goiano's late challenge caught a Calderao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Goiano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Calderao booed when Fura bola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Carioca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliézer Vargas's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. A collision led to Calderao getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Eliézer Vargas hit a great ball. Fura bola FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calderao the free kick. After 21 played minutes Fura bola FC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Hermes. The supporters of Fura bola FC booed when Calderao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Víktor Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Fura bola FC's Edgar do Vale in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Calderao booed when Fura bola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flávio Damião could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Júlio Carioca made a huge save. If Jerônimo Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Jerônimo Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calderao's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerônimo Cerezo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Robinho Cardozo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Júlio Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Fura bola FC's Robinho Cardozo got a free kick in the 54th minute. Ronald Goliáš took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th match minute, Fura bola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. After 63 played minutes Fura bola FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgar do Vale. Jerônimo Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Fura bola FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Damião came free, but Júlio Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Vargas in the 73rd minute of play. When Jerônimo Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Calderao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerônimo Cerezo couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, Fura bola FC's Diego Hermes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronald Goliáš narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Claudinho Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calderao's protests and gave Claudinho Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Calderao got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Miranda. After 82 minutes of play, Calderao's Jerônimo Cerezo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Carioca was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 87 minutes, Flávio Damião made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Fura bola FC's Júlio Carioca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Flávio Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
