José Paulo Couto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Kids Graça's Nildo da Rocha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Belmiro Peres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Nildo da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belmiro Peres having to interfere. In the 24th minute Abel Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Nildo da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kids Graça's supporters rose to their feet, but Nildo da Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Belmiro Peres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abismo SC's Belmiro Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Meirelles in the 27th minute of play. Belmiro Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Velasco in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kids Graça's Gustavo Garcia got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Lopes in the 35th minute of play forced Kids Graça's goalkeeper José Paulo Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Paulo Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Lopes in the 39th minute of the match. Delfim Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Paulo Couto came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Abismo SC's Romeu de Queiroz. But to his dismay, Romeu de Queiroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. José Paulo Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Delfim Velasco might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belmiro Peres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Delfim Velasco ran back to his position shaking his head. José Paulo Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu de Queiroz in the 55th minute of play. José Paulo Couto made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Abel Lopes sent off a good shot on target. Kids Graça's José Paulo Couto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Kids Graça from getting a goal against them. Nildo da Rocha took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Belmiro Peres. Belmiro Peres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 70th minute, Abismo SC's Romeu de Queiroz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind José Paulo Couto. José Paulo Couto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Abel Lopes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but José Paulo Couto made a huge save. Belmiro Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. José Paulo Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Paulo Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu de Queiroz in the 97th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
