Jhon Rabelo started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Fura bola FC booed when U18 Cruzeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 played minutes U18 Cruzeiro got a freekick which was hit by Pedrão Abreu. When Raúl Couto came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Fura bola FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raúl Couto couldn't finish the play. Luiz Fernando Souza was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Robinho Cardozo. In the 31st minute, Fura bola FC's Edgar do Vale dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 37th minute, Dé Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, Diego Hermes notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of U18 Cruzeiro's Luiz Fernando Souza. Luiz Fernando Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar do Vale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edgar do Vale took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Fernando Souza. Luiz Fernando Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 59th minute Paulão Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fernando Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar do Vale in the 60th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Paulão Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Luiz Fernando Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luiz Fernando Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Robinho Cardozo hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, U18 Cruzeiro's Toninho Sanches got a free kick in the 88th minute. Luiz Fernando Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, U18 Cruzeiro's Robinho Guerra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Júlio Carioca. Júlio Carioca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Fura bola FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
