Nilmar Torres came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by GT Imortais FC's Betão Custódio. But to his dismay, Betão Custódio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 23 played minutes Independente FC got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Ramalho. In a very dangerous position, a player in Independente FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! The referee gave GT Imortais FC a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Betão Custódio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Independente FC's Nilmar Torres. 0-3. After a rather tough play, GT Imortais FC's Kléberson Aguiar got a free kick in the 32nd minute. A collision led to GT Imortais FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. After a defensive mix-up in GT Imortais FC's zone, Jaime Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davi Neiva came out of the goal and Jaime Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Independente FC's Aílton de Almeida quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aníbal Godoi, made in the 45th minute of the game. Jaime Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evaristo Botelho was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes GT Imortais FC got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Brodel. Davi Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Mendes in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 56th minute Evaristo Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomás Ramalho charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind GT Imortais FC's goalkeeper Davi Neiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. GT Imortais FC's Davi Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Mendes in the 85th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Thomás Ramalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Davi Neiva. GT Imortais FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thomás Ramalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3.
