Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cássio Viana took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 18 minutes, Cássio Viana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capinal and the Guaratiba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Capinal got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Viana. In the 19th minute, João Pedro Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Chicão Brito came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Capinal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chicão Brito couldn't finish the play. Clóvis Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Chicão Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Vladimir Tavares made a huge save. After having played for 30 minutes, Chicão Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capinal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chicão Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silas Sena in the 34th minute of play forced Capinal's goalkeeper Isaltino Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaltino Alves came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Guaratiba FC's Clóvis Netto. But to his dismay, Clóvis Netto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After the first half Guaratiba FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute, Clóvis Netto made a precise shot to the right of Isaltino Alves. Capinal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Chicão Brito's late challenge caught a Guaratiba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chicão Brito helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Capinal's Chicão Brito got a free kick in the 57th minute. Guaratiba FC's Vladimir Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Viana in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Juan Cosme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capinal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guaratiba FC the free kick. The supporters of Guaratiba FC booed when Capinal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Clóvis Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaratiba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clóvis Netto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henrique de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Cássio Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Clóvis Netto notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Capinal's Isaltino Alves. Isaltino Alves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guaratiba FC's Vladimir Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Viana in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guaratiba FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
