Hermínio Linares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Samuel Coelho made a huge save. 15 minutes into the match, Rigbiz FC's Yan Vargas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel Coelho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Felipe do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Ulysses de Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adelino Almeida. Rigbiz FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulysses de Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A collision led to MICHELMI getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ernesto Lara hit a great ball. In the 27th minute of the match Anselmo Valadares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel Coelho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 34 minutes, Luiz Fábio Passos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MICHELMI and the Rigbiz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Diego Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Diego Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antônio Bastos during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Antônio Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Fiori Cordeiro hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulysses de Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. Samuel Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Figueiredo in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute Hermínio Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diego Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. MICHELMI's Samuel Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Juvenal in the 64th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rigbiz FC's Felipe do Nascimento got a free kick in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Rosa in the 66th minute of play forced Rigbiz FC's goalkeeper Adelino Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MICHELMI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cícero de Mendonça in the 68th minute. After taking down the ball on MICHELMI's corner William Rosa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Adelino Almeida quite easily take care of the ball. Samuel Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Hermínio Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rigbiz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermínio Linares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Figueiredo in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Coelho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Rigbiz FC's Anselmo Valadares got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 77 minutes, Felipe do Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rigbiz FC and the MICHELMI players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rigbiz FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Felipe do Nascimento hit a great ball. Ulysses de Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulysses de Mendonça the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ulysses de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Diego Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rigbiz FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Samuel Coelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Figueiredo's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Rigbiz FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
