Carlos Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Mojeiro's goalkeeper Sandro Alagoano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernani Palmeira. Mojeiro's Sandro Alagoano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Mojeiro from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Brasas booed when Mojeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ian Faria hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Luís Fábio Quaresma struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Sandro Alagoano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brasas. Tostão Arruda scored 0-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doni Pimenta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Iuri de Godoy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Sandro Alagoano made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mojeiro made a substitution. Vítor Seco replaced Carlos Nogueira. The wind increased when Carlos Eduardo Tasso made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Brasas's zone, Tiaguinho Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doni Pimenta came out of the goal and Tiaguinho Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Mojeiro's Vítor Seco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Doni Pimenta. Doni Pimenta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Vítor Seco came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Doni Pimenta could save by the left post. If Luís Fábio Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mojeiro's Sandro Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fábio Quaresma in the 69th minute of play. After 71 minutes of play, Brasas's Iuri de Godoy made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sandro Alagoano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sandro Alagoano came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Brasas's Iuri de Godoy. But to his dismay, Iuri de Godoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Tostão Arruda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Doni Pimenta. That made the score 2-3 in the 78 minute of play. Sandro Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani Palmeira in the 84th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brasas's zone, Tostão Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doni Pimenta came out of the goal and Tostão Arruda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Carlos Eduardo Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Brasas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Eduardo Tasso couldn't finish the play. 97 minutes into the game, Iuri de Godoy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Sandro Alagoano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mojeiro succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Brasas had controlled the match.
