The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 played minutes E.C Bahea got a freekick which was hit by Duda Neiva. Zé Roberto Aguiar got his second yellow card in the match during the 37th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Zé Roberto Aguiar hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duda Neiva in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulão Breckenfeld saved Afligidos from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Duda Neiva made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Duda Neiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulão Breckenfeld was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Afligidos's Carlos Alberto Araújo got a free kick in the 55th minute. The throw-in from Jeremias Luz in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Afligidos's Zé Augusto Mendonça. Charles Magalhães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Paulão Breckenfeld made a huge save. Dário Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duda Neiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Paulão Breckenfeld made a huge save. After having played for 86 minutes, Duda Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C Bahea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duda Neiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Alberto Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duda Neiva in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulão Breckenfeld prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Augusto Mendonça during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Afligidos getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Zé Augusto Mendonça hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Afligidos had won after a very even match.
